pregnancy is one of the happiest moments of a woman's life, unless until unplanned or unexpected.....

Jokes apart...

Bones are one of the most commonly affected organs of the body during pregnancy.

Next musculoskeletal organs to be most commonly affected are tendons and ligaments.

it is due to excess secretion of the hormone relaxin.

1.Excess relaxin causes altered healing of damaged ligaments and tendons , leading to softer and more pliable ligaments which are prone to injury. 2.Muscles, tendons become weak and its normal regeneration by fibrosis is slowed down by relaxin.

in short pregnant women and immediate post pregnancy women are prone to injuries due to soft and pliable ligaments and tendons.

They may suffer from:-
